HAMILTON V. TUHIKARAMEA. On Saturday the Hamilton Cricket Club played the Tuhikaramea Club on Sydney Square, Hamiltnn, and the game resulted in a win for the home team by 24 runs. The Hamilton captain (Mr von Stunner) won the toss, and elected to go in first, and the team made 52 runs before being disposed of, Father O'Gara playing well for his 11. None of the others reached double figures, owing to the good bowling of S. Reid, who took seven wicket* for 20 runs. Tuhikaramea, in their first innings, scored 37 runs, A. Livingston bsing top scorer with 9. Hamilton, in their second attempt, male 41, Stevuns and Browning being the principal contributors with 17 a,nd 10 each, respectively. Tuhilcarnmen, in their second innings, made 32, Dalstnn adding 9 to the score. The wicket was very fast, and resulted in no big scores being made. S. Reid was most successful with the ball for Tuhikaramea, taking 7 wickets for 20 runs in the first innings, and in the second 2 for 17, and Marsdon in the second 7 for 20, and Dalston 1 for 1. The fielding of the visitors was very good indeed. The Hamilton bowling was also very good. Barton, in the first innings, taking 4 wickets for 10 runs and Fielder 5 for 8. In the second innings Barton took 6 wickets for 1G runs, and Fielder 3 for 13, Messrs Steadman and Sandes fielded sub*, for Mr J. W. Smith and Fathor O'Gara, respectively, in the second innings. In the cricket match, Auckland v. Parnell, which was concluded on Saturday, the former won by no Ibsb than 205 runs. Mr T. H. Wilson, formerly of Cambridge, and who played in the Auckland team that came to Waikato a few weeks ago, contributed 80 runs, and unfortunately cot run out within a few minutes of time. His innings was spoken of as one of the most attractive yet played in the domain.
