ERUPTION AT TAUPO.
(BY TELEGRAPH.—PKKSS ASSOCIATION). Wellington, Last Nisrht. A TKLKOBAM from Taupo Rtates that at 1.30 o'clock on Sunday Ngaruhoe became active. A cone on Tongariro burst up somewhat similar to the Tarawera oruptinn. Laree quantities of ashes are bemß discharged, but no mud. The ashes are falling here, and the volcano can be heard firing off its guns, but it is not visible, owing to the dense clouds over the mountain.
