This directly affects me, as I hold the mortgage of the, property from Adams, and have transferred it t > the bank as a security. 1 have, therefore, to make demand on you for the payment of £40 for the tramway horses you recently purchased from Mr H. JI. Adams, and failing payment of this demand, by the 20th inst., I must of necessity tike steps to press your Council into a recognition of my title aid claim."—Pending a reply from Mr Hay, this matter was shelved. Towards the close of the meeting, the following telegram was received from Mr Hay's office: "Leases just received and forwarded by post to you to-day to Morrinsville." This being no reply to the enquiry, the Chairman was asked to reply to Mr Wick when he had seen Mr Hay regarding the matter. Alter the meeting had closed, the longdooked-for copies of the lease arrived by post, but She chairman and two councillors had waited to sign them, so Mr McLean will soon be in possession. Cr. lleanoy said the track was in very fair order. The clearing that the letter referred to was on a track three chains wide that the Company had made to drive cattle and sheep along, and the Council could not be expected to keep that clear of undergrowth. It would be well to employ some one to patch the road before tho winter set in. It was resolved to attend to this matter during the autumn. Camrkidge-Tauranga Road.—Mr Wm. Heaney wrote calling attention to damage done by the r.un on this road.
