THE STRATFORD ROUTE.
(BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Auckland, Last Night. At a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Northern Railway League, the report of Mr Wilson was ivad and considered satisfactory. It was decided to distribute copies of the report amongst members of the Government and the House of Representatives. It was also resolved to hold a public meeting on the question shortly, and a hope was expressed that arrangements would oe made by which the Mayor would call a meeting of citizens to consider the action of the railway league and urge the Government to open fo.* settlement the country traversed by the Stratford route.
