Knights of Labouh.—A deputation from the Auckland Knitrhts of Labour, consisting of the District Master Workman, Mr Freuch, and Dr. Benlo, addressed a crowded meeting in the public school here on Monday evening on the constitution, principles', and aims of the order. Those present who listened with rapt atteutiou to all thut MiFrench imparted to them, were evidently favourably impressed with the organisation and as a result of their visit, there will in all probability ba a Local Assembly formed here. A knitting together of all classes of labour, whether of head or hand.*, and <>f masters and men under the shield of such an order or organisation, whose fust caro is to impress upon its member-; the incalculable adv.uitase of manhood sn'Ji'o?, and ths miffhty power of the ballot-box cannot but bn productive of much Rood :ind will lead them to reflect and pob tlwi it is thn most perfect Government in which an injury to uiis is the concern of all.
