Loan pob Whauf.—A public meeting was held in tho Court-house, Kaplan, December 21th, to consider the ad visableness of borrowing the sum of £242 for wharf loan. Mr Frissel was in the chair. It was proposed by Mr Robinson, seconded by Mr Barlow, and carried, "That a poll be taken on New Year's Day for that purpose." A good deal of discussiou took place upon tho subject in which Messrs Moon, Robinson, Hill, Peeler and others took part. Sureiy this time the poll will be favourable to the scheme. •
