WAITOA ROAD BOARD.

The usual monthly meeting of the Waitoa Road Board took place in the Nottingham Uastle Hotel,Morrinsville on Saturday. Present : Messrs W. P. Ohepmell(in tha chair), J. Horrell, R. Parr, J. Turnbull and W. Main who was elected to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr Hanmer.

Thirds -.—Among the correspondence wm a letter received from the Commissioner of Crown lands with schedule of thirds from deferred payment and perpetual lease lands due to the Board on the Ist November inst. amouting to £17 Os 81. Owing to the way in which tha schedule has been prepared, it will be necessary to return it for correction, in consequence of which the consideration of tho schema of works for the expenditure of the money had to be postponed.

Reynolds' Road.—A letter was received from Mr Thos. Stanley, calling attention to repairs required on Reynolds' Road.— The consideration of this ma'ter was deferred till next meeting of the Board,

MORKINSVirXE-MACNfIATAPU Roa d.—A letter from Messrs E. H. Grey and Jas. Gordon was real re the contract on the Mnrrinßville-Maungatapu road, regarding which they think the labour done does not represent the contract price. It was decided that the letter be received.

Tkndeus.—Tho following tenders were received fur the contract on Seddona' road, consisting of clearing and forming one piece of 100 chains and another of 80 chains, besides carting and fixing several sets of pipes. The tender was to be at per chain for the whole work including carting and fixine the pipes: — Jas. Orr, 5s and 3s ;G. Vowless. Gs and 5s 3d ; O. McCabe, Gs and 4s: W. Thomson, Gs !)d and 5s ; besides charging extra for the sets of pipes which made the tender informal. Jas. Orr\j tender win accepted.

Accounts. — The following accounts were passsd for payment:—W. Hiltby, £3; F. Shoat. £1 ; O. McCabe, £38 : F. P.ivitr, £3 15<; A. Rrainnor, £2 12s lid ; Te Aroha News. £1 13s.
