TllK Hummer meeting of the Soo'li Auckland Racing Club will be hul l on tin' Claudelands Racecourse on Kiidiy nnd S iturday, 18th and l!irli l>ecemb"r. Thi« is tho first two days' meeting that h is been held by this Club, but wo feel c •nlideot that It will be a successful one. A firstclass programme is provided, £>!35 being ottered in priz.es as follows, I'llOo on the first day and £330 on the second. The first day includes tho .South Auckland Cup ol £115, the First Steepleeh t-e anil Trades, man's Plate of £40 each, Flying Stakes t.'IO and three others for smaller amoeots, on tho second day the South Auckland Sfeepl'-ch i«e, £50, Waikato Produce Slakes £<>0, Publicans Purse, £50. and five oilier events will lie run. The Produce Slakes will bo exceptionally interesting as being the first held in Waikato and for which there wero 27 subscribers. Twelve now remain in and it. is expected that at the least ten horses will como to the p ist The course is iti capital condition, and Mr G. H. Carter, the Hon. Sec. to the Club, is sparing nu effort to make the meeting a success and .a credit to the district. Horseowners would do well to bear in mind that the nominations for all the events with the exception of tho Novel It ice and Produce Stakes closo at 9 p.m., on Friday next. 37th inst., with tho Secretary at Hamilton. Weights for Mniden Plate, Handicap Maiden Hurdles, South Auckland Cup, First Steeplechase, Tradesman'* Plate, Flying Stakes, Handicap Hurdles, County Plate and Welter Handicap will appear on or about Wednesday, 2nd December, and for Christmas Handicap, Publicans' Purse, Railway Stakes and South Auckland Steeplechase, on Friday, 18th December, at 8.30 p.m. Nominations for Novel Race and first forfeit (20-) Waikato Produce Stakes, together with acceptance (10s (id), are to be made to the secretary, before!) p.m. on Wednesday, !)th December. Mr 11. H.
