(I3V TELEGRAPH.— OWN COBBBSPON'DKNT.) Auckland, Last Night. Mh Mkaks, bookseller, died suddenly today of typhoid fever.

The Minister for Lands evidently did not understand what was required. He (Mr McMillan) thought the matter should be put fully before the Premier on his arrival in Auckland in n month hence. It was suggested that a track six feet wide would meet requirements, and a resolution was passed directing the secretary to write to the Premier, urging him to have this matter taken in hand without delay.

In the estate of L'ltiis Possinneskie,tailor, the official assignee reported that the estate should realise 11s 6d in the £. The treditors resolved to accept a composition of Us 3.1.
