EXAMINATION'.—Tho Chairman reported that Inspector Crowe had examined the scholars on the l.'J'h and 1-11.h October, and the result was that nut of 12-1 presented 115 had p:issed. This gave an average of (ll'i per cent of parses 1,0 7J. per cent of failures. Tiiis, lie considered, wis a most satisfactory result, and re(l>.ct"d greit credit upon the master, Mr li. C. Dyei. The list of p iss is and failures in the various st m lards was as follows: — Standard ), Hi) presented, 138 passvl; Standard 11, lid presented, all passed ; Standard 111, SI presented, 28 passed; Standard IV, 2U presented, 2H pi.-sed ; Standard V, 8 presented, 7 pissed; Standard VI, 1 pres uted, 3 pissed Uf tho nine failures, six were unmi-tak-ably atliinntahle to irregular attendance, owing to tho negligence of parents, and no blame whatever could ba attached to the head teacher. —After several members of tho committee had spoken in eulogistic terms of the master, it wns re-:ol• "That the cmuuittcc cpre-s their sHisfaction at the result of the recent examination, and desire to compliment Mr Dyei and his assistants thereon."
lllit'Allis. —The Chairman said the roBnirs to the school and teacher's house had been completed, ft was resolved, "That the {{rant of £7 10< (allotted as par the Bond's letter of August 27tl>) he applied for, together with £1 'Js -Id, the cost ul wall paper for l.lio master's house."
Additions. — Tho master, Mr Dver, wrote stating that ho intended asking the Education Board to ercct a lean-to at the back of his house, so as to give him an additional bed-room, and rßqueatiutr th:i committee to support his application.—lt, was resolved to comply with the request.
