COLONIAL LOANS.
(by electric telegraph.— copyright.) Londo.v, Xoveniber 1. Tim Banks consider it undesirable, and that it will probably be impracticable to float oven a million and a-half of the Victorian Loan, and think that Australasia ought to agree to forego borrowing for two years, and then it should only be done in moderation.
Financiers express surprise that. Victoria is iu need of a million and a half in addition to the amount of tlio last; loan to finish the works in progress.
The Economist cautions .Mr Bibbs, the hew Premier of New South Wales, against the revival of tlio okl borrowing policy, and states that Victoria is borrowing too largely.
