Theuk is littlo doubt that the wieckaaro found at the Solomon Islands is that of the missing Xew Zealand barque Kentish Lass, and as Captain Holm, who was part owner, thinks the men may still be alive, he waited on the Hon. Mr Cadinan to-day, and urged that the Government should cable asking the Now South Wales Government to have a search made, if possible, by a man-of-war. Mr Cadman has assented to this suggestion.

The R.M.S. Manowai, with the English mails of the 3rd inst., left San Francisco for Auckland on tliß 17th inst.. two days late. Tho R.M.S. Alumedn, with the colonial mails of the 10th inst., arrived at San Francisco from Auckland yesterday, contract date.
