LATEST AUCKLAND NEWS.
(by telegraph.—own correspondent.) Auckland, Last Night. Tub Shaw Savill Company's four thousand ton cargo steamer Mamari arrived to-d'iy to load for London.
The Northern Steamship Company's new steamer Waiotahi arrived from Glasgow today, after a, passage of a hundred and three days. She is a twin screw steamer of 278 tons gross register, well suited for the Bay of Plenty trade, in which she is to be engaged.
The fifth annual dog show, under the auspices of the Poultry, Canary and Dog Show, opened at the Drill Shed this afternoon. The show is regarded as the best ever held in Auckland. Tho entries are very uumorous, and the exhibits on the whole creditable. Collies provide- a very Hue group, and form the most numerous class in the show, while spaniels, pointers and setters are also strong numerically.
