R.M. COURT, HAMILTON.
Yesterday.—(Before Capt. Jackson, R.M.) Breach of By-Laws.—'W. Murch, E. Wilson, and M. Carey were charged with a breach of the borough by-laws by allowing their chimneys to be on fire. The defendants admitted the charge, and were each fined 5s and costs 7s.
Hospital Board v. Skinner.—Claim, £2 17s. Judgment for amount claimed, less !)s paid into Court, and costs, to be paid at £1 per month.
Cox v. E. Wall.—Claim, £1 13s 3d. Judgment for amount claimed and costs (is,
Scott v. Coi'iELn—Claim, £3 2s. Judg ment for amount claimed and costs Gs.
Dog Registrar v. L. Stougie,—The defendant was charged with a breach of the borough by-laws by not having his dog registered. The defendant pleaded not guilty. Considerable evidence was heard, and the defendant was fined Is and costs 21s.
