THE WYNDHAM HOT, COLD AND SHOWER BATHS.
A NEW and much desired departure in the matter of baths has been made in the establishment of the Wyndham hut, cold and shower baths, Wyndham-street, Auckland, which have been lately opened. These baths are located in one of the most central and commodious buildings in the city, being about three doors from Queen-street, next tho Observer office. The premises have been completely renovated and overhauled latoly, and are now most tastefully arranged, and are fitted up in excellent order, while everything to ensure the comfort and convenience of the public has been provided for. As you enter the building from Wyndham-street you notice on tile left of tho corridor two large rooms encased with glass, one for reading and the other for smoking. These are available for the use of country visitors as well as those from town, whether they bathe or not. Following these are six large and well-litteil bathroom* on each Bide of the hall, making twelve in all, The hot water apparatus is an ingenious device, there being a constant supply of hot water. The flooring is covered with lineoleum through ■'.it, and shrubs and pot-plants are displayed in coigns of vantage and along the corridor. The building is lighted from the roof with glass louvres by day and well lit with gas by night. Country visitors can not only have a capital hot or cold bath but their clothes brushed and boots blackened for tho small sum of one shilling. We can confidently recommend our roaders of both sexes to patronise these excellent bath-. Tired and exhausted travellers from the conntry will come forth from them thoroughly refreshed. Metsrs Jaines Mays and A, .10. Fenton, the courteous and efficient managers leave nothing to bo desired in point of management and attention to their customers, while a competent lady assistant will attend to the ladies. These baths are open from 5 a.m. to '.) p.m.
