Cashui, v. Cussbx.—Mr Cruickshank for plaintiff and Mr O'Neill for defendant. This casi> was adjourned for a month,, pending a submission to arbitration.
Mai.vwari.v: v. W.utiiK.v.—Mr (Jreshaui for plaintiff and Mr Crnickahanlc for defendant. This was an information laid by Mrs Mainwaring ajjaint a half-caste named John Warren fir an assault aud battery, committed at Te Puhi on tho lL'th inst. There was also a cross-information against the plaintiff. Owing tu Mr Thomson, the. usual interpreter, being absent, and no. other qualified person being available, the' magistrate had to adjourn the hearing until: uext court day, when it will begin at !.) a.m.
Aubin v. Tamkhaxa ti: Ani;a.— Judgment summons. Mr Cruickshank for tho judgment creditor. The debtor did not appear. The evidence of Messrs Aubin and Hetet was taken, after which the hearing was adjourned for a mouth to give tlie debtor an opportunity of paying iu the meantime.
