HARAPEPE.
Sohooi, iNMPKCTro.w—Mr Crou'o, the inspector of .schools, was here on Tuesday, and examined the children of the Harapepe school in standards, and all the pupils sent ill) for examination passed. Great credit is duo to our teacher (Mr Thos. Roid), who, although lie has not been here many months, h;is been iudefatigable in his duties, the school not having been closed one day (except helidays) sinco lie has had charge of it.
■ Chopping.—This fine weather is very favourable for all out-door work, and the* farmers are hard at work catting iu their crops, although the low price of last year's is not much inducement to try again, tnauy not having yet sold their potatoes.—(Owci correspondent).
