Waste Lands.—The Cambridge branch of tli3 Farmers' Club wrote, asking that steps be taken to securo the re-appointment of Mr Edward Lake on the Waste Lands Hoard.—Several members spoke of the energetic manner in which Mr Likohad performed his duty, and it was resolved to work with the Cambridge branch to secure that end. Captain* Rukciman's Papkh.— Captaiu Runciman was loudly cheered at the conclusion of hia very able paper on " Hereford and Shorthorn Cattle," which we will take an early opportunity of printing in oxtenso.—A very long discussion ensued upon it, in which Messrs Day, White, and others spoke at length. The general opinion soemed to bo that farmers would have to breed tho cattle which suited them best, and that they could not all have the samo.
