IMPORTANT RAILWAY CONCESSIONS.
In a telegram received from the Honorable John Bryce yesterday, we leain he has been successful iu obtaining some important concessions from the Railway Commissioners in the matter of freights, etc. ; for example, the rate on manures from Auckland to Hamilton has been reduced from twelve shillings and fivo pence per ton to nine shillings and eightpence and tha minimum has been reduced from two tons to one ton and a-half. A rebate of one half of the original charge for the carriage of stock from agricultural shows has also been granted. __
