The Sergeant-at-Arms reported lie had been nimble to arrest Mr Grevy, and the taking of evidence, is now closed at Ottawa. M. Pacaud left Quebec to avoid boing served with a subpiena. A Royal Commission has been appointed to make inquiry into the alleged corruption in the Canadian Civil Service.
