(ISY TKLKGH.U'H -OWN' CORRKSPOXDK.ST.) Auckland, List Night. Tins morning 13 lads employed at the Fibre Company's worUs in Stanloy-stiPet struck fnr shorter hours and other concessions. They called at the newspaper offices in force, and announced the fuct. They s.iy that a number of more boys will strike in the afternoon. Hugh Shortland brought a charge of criminal libel against the informant in the case heard last Wednesday. The alleged libel consisted in allegations made in an anonymous letter dropped into a letter-liox used by several persons. The Magistrates held he hid failed to prove the authorship of the letter, ami dismissed the case.
