R.M. COURT, HAMILTON.
Ykstkhday.—(Before Captain Jackson,
R.M.) McCarthy v. Sctiikulakii an'd Pottkr.—In this case, which had been hoard last Court day, judgment was given for the defendants without costs.
Rich v. Mnuxui and Noawiiakahoiu.— This case, the destruction of a bridge at Patetere, had been before the Court on two occasions previously. The R.M. gave a long and exhaustive judgment, quoting from a variety of cases bearing upon the points at i-suo. Tho objections raised by Mr O'Neill, the solicitor for defendants, he over-ruled, fining defendants each £1 and i' 4 12s (id costs. Defendants paid £1 into Court, and the R.M. ordered the balance to be paid by September 2nd, or, in default, 11 days.
Prohibition Order.—On tho application of tho police, a prohibition order was granied for 12 months against .T. F. Hayward.
