At Lite Supremo O.urt to-day the Ferguson Syndicate Company (Limited) mined for a writof prohibition against Christopher (iuy, Wuiuronsoniiii, miner, ami H. W. Xorth croft, of the Thames, K.M. Tlio Ferguson Company h a Joint Stock Company with it-i head ofHce in Glasgow, and are owners of certain property at Waiorougouiai, in the Upper Thames. Tlios. Melville, Auckland, accountant, is attorney for plaintiff*. He was sued in the K.M. Court, Tβ Aroha, for wages due by the Company. The K.M'., on Melville applying for n nonsuit as he was not personally liable, gave judgment against the Ferguson C.impany. The motion was for a writ of prohibition, restraining defendants from proceeding with the action in the R.M. Court, on the grounds that the K.M. had acted without jurisdiction. Mr Cooper argued at length in support of the motion, and .\lr Alexander in support of the K.M, A number of authorities were quoted. His Hoinnr reserved judgment.
