Her commander suspects that the Itata passed Aeapulco ivifhout calling in, and he has accordingly gone south in search of her.
The Esmeralda has on board a stock of provisions for the Itata.
The latest advices received in the city state that the Itata is safe, having an ample supply of coal and provisions on board.
