INQUEST.

As' inquest \v&3 held on tho 27th inst,, at the residence of Mr James Ijawton, near ()hiiup», on the body of hi* infnnt child, Mary Grace Lawton, aged 10 weeks, before Mr Greshnm, Coroner, and a jury of six, of vvnoni Mr W. Rysdale was chosen foreman. From the evidence adduced, it was shown that the child had been feoble and omaciated from its birth, and had gradually wasted away. A verdict was returned in accordance with the evidence, the jury expressing their opinion, in which the coroner entirely concurred, that no blamo whatever was attachable to the parents of the child.
