(l)Y TELKGRAPII —I'HKHS ASSOCIATION'.) Auckland, Last Night. A MAN named Alfred Kyors has been accidentally shot at Whitianga. The local doctor has been called in, but little hopes arc entertained for his recovery. Wkluncton, Last Night. Duncan McDougnll, a sheep farmer, was drowned in the Lower NVairarapa lake whilo wild duck shooting, by th° upsetting of a punt. Asudurton, Last Night. Yesterday a boy named Spiccr, while rutnaging in a chemist's back premises, found a package of phosphorus in water, in a sealer) bottle. He took a stick and put it into his trousers' pocket, and, while going aiong the street, his clothes took (ire, A passer-by tore off the burning clothes and rolled the boy in the water-channel and extinguished tho fire, hut burned his own hands, legs, and clothes. Tho boy's body was burned rather severely.
