CONFIRMATION SERVICE AT S. PETER'S CHURCH, HAMILTON.

On' Sunday evening last His Lordship Bishop Covvie administered tho rite of confirmation to IS young persons, four males and 1-1 females, members of S. Peter's Church. The prayers were by the Incumbent and the lessons by llis Lordship. After the second lesson an adult member of the congregation and one of tho candidates for confirmation was baptised by the, Bishop. After the usual declaration by the candidates, His Lordship delivered an address, taking as his text Phillipians, 3rd chapter and 11th verse, " I f by any means 1 attain unto the resurrection of tho dead," concluding by exhortingall parents to bring their children to confirmation. Several members of the Tamahero choir attended, and the singing throughout was cheerful.
