THE TE AROHA SEAT.
Rumouk has been busy during the last few days with the names of probable candidates for tho vacant Te Aroha seat. The first definite announcement comes from Dr. Broome, of Huntly, whoso preliminary notice upon this subject appears iu this issue. As will be seen Dr Broome proposes to start his campaign at Cambridge on Tuesday next, when 110 doubt he will defiue the line of politics he favours. Dr Broome, it is reported, has had satisfactory assurances of support from Mr Ballance, and the candidate who goes to the poll as the chosen one of the Government has long odds in his favour. Sir Walter Buller is also feeling the pulse of the constituency aud in company with Major Wilson, of Cambridge, he is uow travelling through the district with the view of ascertaining what measure of support lie would obtain in the event of his deciding to contest the seat.
