TO VISIT THE NOItTH,
(BY TKLKUIIAPH.—OWN COUKESrOXDKST.) Auckland, Last Night, The Governor was to have started thin evening on his Northern trip, but in consequence of tho Wairarapn being delayed he will not get iiway till to-morrow. The steamer will leave soin9 time to-morrow, and tho vice-regal party, consisting of Lord Onslow, Countess Onslow, and Captain Guthrie will journey hy her as far as Russell. There they will rest for the night. From Russell, the party will ride to Kawakawa, and thence to Pukaraka, where they will be entertained by Mr Williams. From there a short divergence will bo mado to Waimate, where there will be an informal non-political meeting of the natives. On Thursday the party will sleep at Rawene and go from there to Omapere on Friday, and on to Mr John Webster's place in the neighbourhood of Opononi ; on .Saturday thence overland to Dargaville, where the Hon. Mr Mitcbelson entertains tho party. The party come down the Wairoa River returning to Auckland in S days.
