I was extremely sorry to rind, that during my absence in England any illegal act had been committed, even in mistake, by any supporter of mine. It now eimply remains for me to thank you once more most sincerely for the honour you did me last December, in electing me as your Representative ; and I shall never forget the kindness you then showed me. I hope the member you will soon choose to represent you, will be able to serve you more diligently and faithfully than I could have done ; and with every best wish for the prosperity of the various interests in your district.
