SHEARERS STRIKE.
RIOTOUS BEHAVIOUR. (HY ELKUTRIO TELKIJIIAI'U-COI'YUHJHT). Sydney, April 7. THE Pastoralists' Union has received another proposal from the Amalgamated Shearers asking that h. conference be held to di>ou-s the present dillicultv. Biu.shaxe, April 7. The correspondence impounded at the time of the arrest of tins officers of the Shearers' Union is of a most revolutionary character, and recommended a resort to arms. It also mentioned that the Union would indicate to the shearers in New South Wales when the timo was ripe to adopt such a course. April S. A large crowd of unionists, estimated at nearly 1500 surrounded the railway station at Barcaldine on the arrival of the train conveying the labour prisoners. A force, of 450 troops was present to restrain the mob from rescuing the prisoners, and the guard had bayonets fixed. The proceedings wero very riotous.
