SCHOOL OF AGRICULTURE AT LINCOLN.
1U nil-. El tlou._ I ill'., —As your article of. the 7th iiist ru the above institution is rather misleading, I should like to make a slight correction. The fees at ptwent arc UlO per year for a course of two years; not £(!•">, as stated. Wages ara paid to students for farm work which they perform, to tho satisfaction of the manager, £10 to £15 per year being made by some, thus reducing the cost of education. This, and the fact that students' travelling expenses to and from Lincoln once a year, are paid by the school should be an inducement for farmers and others to send their sons for a couple of years. To show that the public appreciate the liberal terms offered, I may add that the number now at Lincoln is 50, several having been refused admission this term for lack of accommodation. -I am, etc., W. Cauhneii. Rnktihia. (Sir Gardner, who is managing the Rukuhia Fstate with so much credit to himself, might have added that ho was a student at the Lincoln College, and was appointed to the position he now holds almost immediately after ho left the institution.—Ed.
