Mips Louisa Fkxwick, a Rirl of 18, was thrown from her horse At Paparoa and killed. t Timaiiu, Lrisfc Xf<?ht. ■Y y<mn rr woman named Annie Crawford, on a visitfroin Lyttelton, was killed by a trap accident last night on the Opihi bridge. Two sailors took out two girls, and on the return journey the men got out, whereupon the horse bolted. Miss Crawford, who jumped out, foil on her head and died in a few hours. The other girl stuck to the trap till the horses pulled up. Ciiiiistchuhcii, Last Night.
A fatal bathing accident occurred at New Brighton beach yesterday afternoon. It appears that Mr Brown, a grocer at Belfast,drove his f-imilv to the beach and shortly after their arrival his son. twelve years of asr'', went into the sea o bath and got into difficulties. His father went to his assistance and both were! drowned. Mrs Brown Waited oil the beach for some time and then relumed to Belfast. She was so horrorstricken over witnes.-iug the death of her husband and son that she was unahle to Rive any particulars. The body of the boy was perceived later near the mouth of the Waimakiriri River. Palmkus'iox Nokth, Last Night. A buggy containing the Hon. and Mrs Sbddnn and others, was overturned into a creek yesterday through the horso swerving on the biidge. The horso and vehicle fell ten feet into the water below, but all cscaped without injury with the exception lit .1 two-year-old child of Mr Wood which was seriously injured.
