HARVEST FESTIVAL.
The harvest thanksgiving services in connection with tho Hamilton Wcsloyan Church, weio concluded last Thursday evening, by a very successful gathering, in the sclioolr join, which wa9 very prettily decorated, and otherwise ornamented for th 3 occasion. On the platform extending across the end of the building was a table laden with a miscellaneous collection of curios, which attracted a good deal of attention during the evening. On one side of the schoolroom a relreshment table was well supplied, and liberally patronised. On tho other side of the entrance was a long table, covered with various fruits of the earth, the thank offerings, which had been brought to be sold for the benefit of the Church funds. Several very enjayable musical items were rendered during the evening by ladies of tho congregation ; and other forms of amusement wore also indulged iu, shooting at. p target with an air-gun being a very special source of attraction. Tho walls of the building had completely lost their usual appearance, being hung with a largo collection of pictures, extending right round the room. The total proceeds of the effort will probably amount to between ti l and Tho thanks of both tho managing committee and tho patrons aro due to tho many friends who so willingly contributed 111 various ways to the success of the entertainment.
