Wk direct the particular attention of fruitgrowers throughout the district to a notitication in this issue f'cira the Saw Zealand Loan and AEercantile Agency Company, in regard to the export of fruit. Iu December last tho Company issued a e.iroulai drawing attention to the success which has attended fruit shipments from Australia and Tasmania during the last two years, and intimating that they wore completing ariaiigemeuts with thu direct steamers tor London for a freight space in cool chambers for dairy produce and fruit. A second circular, under date February Mtli, is now to hand, informing intending shippers that the steamer Alainari will call at Auckland on the lOlh March, and to ensuie space immediate application should be made. We shall deal more fully with this subject in a future issue, in the meantime we would urge upon growers of fruit in Waikato the advantages offered by this outlet for relieving the over-glutted state of our fruit market, particularly noticeable at this season of the year.
