Sib Gkobok Gkey arrived here by Crosby's coach at 5 p.rn. yesterday, A large number of native.-, had assembled to receive him, and many of them were in native costume. Mr Malfroy welcomed Sir (Jeorge to the district ou behalf of tiie Europeans. The native demonstration was a great treat fi.r the tourist element, all the balconies of the different hotels Lining lined with sightseers. On arriving at Lako House, where Sir George has taken up his quarters, h» m-ide a speech to tho natives, who sang a sin? of welcome, after which three cheers were called for and w«ra responded to in a hearty manner. His arriwil was quite u gala for Rotorua.
