THE PUKEKURA AND PUAHOE TITLES.
Tiik sittings of tho Native I .and Coinmissioners Court, before Mr Justice Edwards and John Onrisby Commissioner?, wore resumed on Wednesday last on the application of Mr E. IS. Walker, who claimed to havo purchased tho interest of certain native owners of the Pukekura and Pnahne blocks, in Waikato disl.net. Mr |('. Hesketh appeared for the applicant, and the natives did not appear or object, lhe evidence in support <>£ the claims was taken on Monday, when the Court reserved iudgmont, in order to have tima to considfi the documentary and other evidence on which tho applications for ot title weru based. His Honour now said they had considered tho ovidenco, and concluded that the applicant was entitled to certificates of title under the :Jith section of tho Act, in regard to the interests purchased from Aramete Te Waharoa, Harote lamihana, and Tu Ueremai Maraeanki, in the Puahoe and Pukekura blocks. It would be as well to have a certificate prepared, in order that it might be signed without delay. Mr Hesketh said they had prepared a draft certilicate to be submitted t» the Court. There was no form of certificate in the Act. and they wished the opinion of tho Court as to what should be included in it. His Honour said the form of certificate could ba settled in Chambers, after the rising of the Court. , r i The Court then rose and his Honoui sat in Chambers aud considered the draft certilicate prepared by Mr Hesketh, which was prepared and signed.
