TRIP TO THE WAITOMO CAVES.
A paiitv of twenty-one who started from Te Awamutu on Thursday returned safely on l-'riday. Tho journey which was peiformed with two buggies and one waggon is the first in which the entire distance to tho caves has been attempted on wheels, as hitherto the latter portion of the trip—if not the whole of it—has been gone through on horseback. Tonts wore taken, and s jme of the ladies were accommodated by the use of Mr Vraser's hut, which proved most acceptable as it was in soniu degree mosquito proof.
