ATTEMPTED SUICIDE.
(BY TW.KfiKAI'H—OWN OOUKESrONI'IKST). Auckland, Last Night. Tills morning, John McCarthy, a tailor at Newmarket, attempted to commit suicide by stabbing himself with a pair of shears. M rs McCarthy states that her husband has been in low spirits for the last 12 months. Last Xovember she took a razor from him when she found him with it open in his hand, and he was thou saying "They aro after me."
