The Auckland men all made a Rood start at the 500 yards, Kme, lUralow, Webster, White, and Shepherd (Thame* Navnls) all getting 47 out of a possible .)0. White ami McCallum were close up with 4(5, and Kelly and Doughty 4. r >. Soino of them came to grief, however, at the bOOyds., and there were one or two cases of ooinpleto collapse. Auckland gets about a dozen prizes out of 47, notwithstanding the falling away of so many men.
