WAITOA ROAD BOARD.
TIIK ordinary monthly meeting of tho Waitoa Road Board was held on Saturday tho 27th ultimo, in the Board office, there being prpsent: Messrs Horrel! (in the chair) Hanmer and Turnbull. Mr Hanmor drew the attention of the Board to the advisability of clearing out Ihe drains to take the water from Lovegrovc's road as claying and improving the road without cleaning out the ditches did little good, lie said the settlers in the neighbourhood would contribute t'o towards the cost of the work, and the engineer estimated that the cost of the work would be about 110.-It was resolved that when Mr Hanmer obtains the £3 from the settlers, the engineer will call for tender:, fur the work, the tenders to be opened by by Mr Hanmer and the engineer.—The engineer was instructed to iuspect Jenkins' road and report at next meeting of tho Board on the repairs required.—The following accounts were passed for payment; A.
