ACCIDENT TO MR JOHN FISHER.
(bv teleoraph—own correspondent.)
Camuuidge, Last Night. Mk John Fisher, of Pukerimu, met with a nasty accident at the Cambridge railway station yesterday morning, and it is a marvel that he was not killed. He had driven up in his buggy and pair, and as soon as he had pulled up iie reached over to tho back seat to get a parcel. At this moment the noise of the engine frightened the horses, and when they started Mr Kisher was thrown between the wheel and the buggy, and in this position he was dragged a considerable distance, fortunately he managed to roach one rein, and turned the horses into a ditch, and assistance being at hand, ho was quickly extricated from his perilous position. Ho had hurt his hand rather badly, but otherwise appeared little the worse.
