M.\kki.\',k of Mu Chahi.ks Oclk. I'n the 17t.1i ult. ii. vei v interesting ceremony tunic place at Christ's Church (Anglican), Kihikihi, at 1! p.in. It was the marriage of n"r much respected and popular postmaster and chemist, Mr Charles Ogle, to Miss Marian Ski ece. The news of tho coming evont had been circulated pretty widely by the local <|iiid nunc-, aud it is needless to say that the fair sex especially had taken quite a lively interest in the ceremony ; and there were nutui?u>u.s and Iwart}' pood wishes f<»t the wellaie and happiness of the bride and hiid3"rnoni, both of whom are much esteemed here, and enjoy the friendship aud respect of a large circle of friends, 1 unctnally at the above hour the ceremony took place in the above church, which was tastefully and appropriately decorated for the necasi'tii. The Venerable Archdeacon Willis, of Cambridge, tied the nuptial knot. The bride, who looked lovely, w,.s given away by John Hutchison, Esq., .1.1.., of Orakau. The following young ladies (who appeared finite captivating) weie tliobfidesmaids, :-Miss lUteiy, (half sister to the tho bride) Miss Hutchinson and Miss M. Hutchinson. The best man was Mr J<. Ogle, supported by Mr R. Coulsen. AmnntfsL the relations i>f the bride and biidrgrooiu present were: Mrs Hatel.\ mother of the bride, Mrs Coulsen tho bride s aunt, and Mr W. Ogle father of the bridegroom. There was a very large attendance of the public. The service was most impressive, the worthy and much esteemed Archdeacon, performing it and reading the prayers aud exhortations laid down in the liturgy with that quiet earnestness and due emphasis for which he is famed. After signing the registry in the vestry, the bride and bridegroom were driven to the residence of our much respected fellow citizen Mrs Coulsen, where the. wedding party were, entertained. The. bride and bridegroom, after having been the recipients of the best wishes of their relations and friends, drove off amidst showers of rice to Hamilton for tho honeymoon.
