Thk annual competition for prizes by members of the above company took place on New Year's Day. Notwithstanding the wretched weather, which militated against good shooting, a good squad turned up and thecoin petition wasan enjoyable one. Vol. T. Pearson was the winner of the company's champion bcifc, Lieut. Kirk of Hallenstein's cup, and Sergt. W. Kelly of Harkers medal. Besides these a number of prizes presented to the company wore fired for. Capt, Reid was in command of the squad.
