CUSTOMS RETURNS.

Tiik total Customs returns for the past month amount to £231,734 13* 10d. of which Auckland contributed £27,438 ; Wellington, £25,222 ; Christchurch, ,£20,1131 ; Dunedin, £32,302. The receipts for the nine months from Apul Ist, shoiv a total of £1,141,591 lCs Sd, which exceeds the Treasurer's estimate by £31.591 His Bd.
The total beer duty last month was £7,322. Auckland, £1.050; Wellington, £SO9; Christchurch, £1,410; Dunedin, £15<)5. The receipts for the nine months were £43,11)2 ISs 2d, being £2,0113 ISs 2d in excess of the Treasurer's computation.
