Thk following is the concluding portion of oui' report of the VinUo Comity Council, held over from hist issue :— Gordon SrKOIAI, Sktti.e.mknt.—Two tenders were received for erecting a now bridge over the creok at the above settlement, viz., O. Collins £65, and J. B. Heathcote, £78.— Cr. Bailey suggested that totara piles should be used instead of kauri.—A very lengthy and desultory discussion ensued, which was followed by a motion, and that in turn was followed by numerous amendment, until matters became very mixed ; however, finally it was resolved to call for fresh tpndeis for au entirely new brid«e with totara piles—a portion of au old bridge had been included in this specification— aud to re-erect theold bridge over a " washout " on the road in the settlement. —Crs. Horries and Hanmer were authorised to •pen and accept tenders for both the works. Tk Aroha-Shaftksbuky Road.—Attention was drawn to the fact that the clay thrown out of the drain on the above road near Mr E. Y. Cox's land had not been spread.—Cγ. Hanmer said Mr Cox hud paid half the cost of the work, and it ought to be done.—Tho work was ordered to be done forthwith. Cambridge-Oxford Road.—Cr. Heaney said three culverts on this road, near Oxford, needed repairing.—The work was authorised to be done, the expense not to exceed £s.—Cr. Brown to superviso the work, Waiouonoomai.—Cγ. Hemes stated a culvert in Waiorongomai had given way.— The Engineer was instructed to get it repaired at a cost of £1. A Dangerous GrjLi/r.-- Cγ. Bailey said the gully at Gorton wae getting larger. The water shoot needod repairing or further damage would result.—Ho was authorised to get the necessary work done. Accounts. —The following siecouuts were passed for payment :—G.
