HAMILTON DOMAIN BOARD.
The usual monthly meeting of the Hamilton Domain Board was held in the Borough Council Chambers last night. There were present: Messrs Coates (chairman), Dey, Tippen, Bell, Reid, Slade, Wood, Parr, Scott and Jones. Boxino-Dav Si-outs.—An application was received fro.u K. L. Hope, secretary to the Hamilton Boxing-Day sports, to use Sydney Square on the 2Gth. prox. and to make a charge of Gd per head. —The application was granted. Fencing.—Messrs Coates, l'arr and Scott were appointed a committee to carry on the fencing from Park-street to the railway crossing on Jolly's load. Payments.—Tho following accounts were passed for payment:—R. Waite, £2 2s; Bennett, £2 7s (!d ; Carder, £5 3s Gd ; Hines, £1 Is Gd. Sydney Square.—With reference to the letting of the grass on Sydney Square, the clerk reported that ho hud not received any tenders in response to the advertisement, and the following resolution was passed :— " That taking into consideration the offer of the chairman to make good any damage done to the trees by sheep and seenro samo from further damage that the action of the secretary bo confirmed." This was all the business.
