(by tkleorai'ji—own correspondent,) Kihikihi, Friday. Tiie following returns have been received in connection with the poll for the Western Maori election :— Kihikihi.— I Tuipua, 20; Pepene, 9; others nil. Mangaohoi.—Taipn.i, 19 ; others nil. Kamnqa.—'Taipua, '10.
As there ate eighty-nine polling places in this district extending from (Jape Colville to the Hutt, it will be sumo days before the result of the election will be known. L A T K R. Otouohanga, Friday. The state of the poll at 3 p.m this day was as follows lloam Taipua 1002 Pepene Eketone ... 478 Kipa Te Whatanui 74 Te Kahui Knrarehe 59 Tatana To Whatapoko .. 13 A number of returns have still to coine in, but they will, in all probability, increase the majority for Hoaoi Taipua.
