Wellington, Last Night. The determination to fix March 2nd for the Federation Convention will possibly prevent Ne.v Zealand boing represented at all. Captain Russell can hardly be spared, as all members of tho Cabinet are wanted so near tho opening of tho session, and Sir \V. Fit/.herbert would Hnd it difficult to attend and be back in time. The illness of Sir Ooorge Grey, the third delegate, also further complicates matters, and tho Government are now considering the position.
