[bttblkgraph.—owx corhespondent. Auckland, Lost Night. The Imperial Government have cabled to the Governor, authorising him to appoint Mr l'\ J. Moss, Hriti.sh resident at Rarotonga, this being the formal ratification of the appointment already made on tlio recommendation of the Government.
At the annual inosting of the Kauri Timber Company, the Melbouino directors propose to declare a dividend of 3 p«r com, and make a call of 2s per share, one shilling payable when the dividend is due, and another shilling on 18tli March.
